LMS students cut the ribbon to officially open the new courtyard

Lackawanna Middle School celebrated the official grand opening of its newly refurbished courtyard, a space that is already being enjoyed by students as a welcoming spot to gather, learn and connect.

The event served as an official ribbon cutting to recognize the Lackawanna Board of Education for their vision and commitment in bringing this project to life. Immediately following the ceremony, the Board held its regularly scheduled meeting, where the LMS Student Council was recognized for inspiring the project by presenting the idea to refurbish the courtyard and helping see it through to completion.

The district extends its heartfelt thanks to the Board of Education, not only for making the courtyard renovation possible, but also for their continued dedication to our schools and students.

In recognition of Board of Education Appreciation Week, thank you to our amazing Board of Education for their leadership and collaboration to help make moments like this possible.
