The Middle School’s National Junior Honor Society recently wrapped up a service project to benefit the Lackawanna Food Pantry.
The Winter Canned Food Drive started collection on February 18 and went through April 1. Containers for collection were placed at Lackawanna City Hall, Lake Erie Italian Club and Lackawanna High School.
The Lackawanna Middle School National Junior Honor Society organized the drive with help from four members of the Lackawanna High School National Honor Society. There was a great outpouring of support from the school and community.
Over a carload of non-perishable food items were donated. NJHS needed the help of the Maintenance Department to deliver all of the donations to the Food Pantry. NJHS would like to thank all of those who supported the Winter Canned Food Drive!
