Good evening Steeler Families,
As winter weather continues across our region, Lackawanna City School District encourages families to take extra precautions to stay safe and prepared during periods of extreme cold.
Please ensure students are dressed in warm layers when coming to school, including a coat, boots, a hat and gloves. Proper winter attire helps students stay safe and comfortable throughout the day.
Erie County officials are urging residents to prepare for extreme cold conditions. Families are encouraged to review the information linked here to learn more about how to prepare for and protect against cold weather:

If your family has any concerns or needs support related to winter weather, please contact your child’s principal or the Superintendent’s Office. LCSD remains committed to supporting our families and ensuring students are safe, healthy, and ready to learn throughout the winter season.
Thank you for your continued partnership and care.
Warm regards,
Nadia A. Nashir
Superintendent
